Assessment criteria
These are the criteria we ask you to consider for each of the three artefacts you evaluate.
The artefact addresses one or more themes for the course
The artefact suggests that the author understands at least one key concept from the course
The artefact has something to say about digital education
The choice of media is appropriate for the message
The artefact stimulates a reaction in you, as its audience, e.g. emotion, thinking, action
peer 1 → Hi there, I am very impressed, your work is very interesting! well done!! From your work one can clearly see you are a passionate teacher and I am sure your students love you !! I also paid a visit to the blog of the teacher you give credits too!! All criteria fully achieved, the best of all artefacts I evaluated! take care peer 2 → This artifact does a fabulous job of addressing digital education. I'm not sure about some of the themes of the course, though. Issues of privacy, ownership of intellectual property and cyberbulling could be said to connect to the dystopian side of the equation while the use of digital videos/images to address multiple learning styles is more utopian. I found the medium - a wiki - a bit hard to evaluate in terms of format, but as a teacher, I appreciate the work that went into its thoughtful development. peer 3 → 1.This artefact addresses the theme of (post)humanism, making reference to Kolowich's "The Human Element." 2. The artefact is sophisticated and practical (i.e. an entire project, not only an "artefact"). 3. By default it has plenty to say about digital education on a number of levels as it illustrates the ways in which technology can be used to enhance, but not substitute, teaching. Teaching Internet Safety, as this artefact does, through the use of the internet and its technology is a well-made pairing in terms of praxis. 4. A wiki is well suited for the author's purposes here; it's almost like a microcosm of the MOOC model in a way. 5. The multiple elements of internet-software/technology were thought provoking and very interactive/malleable. It was a pleasure to navigate through. peer 4 → 1- yes, being human 2- yes, teaching with technology 3- yes, the whole project is about digital education 4- yes, a wiki for 6th grade students 5- yes, action to create a PSA
Give the artefact an overall grade: either 0, 1 or 2.
0 = does not achieve this, or achieves it only minimally
1 = achieves this in part
2 = achieves this fully or almost fully Score from your peers: 2
